SUFFOLK, Va. (WVEC) -- A man is in the hospital following a shooting in Suffolk on Friday morning, police said.
The shooting happened shortly after 8:30 a.m. in the 700 block of Nixon Drive, in the Lake Kennedy Estates neighborhood.
Based on a preliminary investigation, police said an adult man suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound. Emergency responders treated him on scene before transporting him by ground to a local hospital.
