NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WVEC) — A Newport News Family Dollar was robbed at gunpoint on Wednesday.
According to police, around 9:30 p.m. Emergency Communications were alerted to a robbery located at 1119 Briarfield Road. A witness said that 5 to 7 men came into the store wearing masks.
One of the suspects fired a weapon inside the store.
The suspects demanded money from the clerk and ran away after the robbery. No one inside of the business was injured during the robbery.
