22nd annual Mayflower Marathon

You can help those in need right here in Hampton Roads, all with a trip to the grocery store.

HAMPTON, Va. (WVEC) — One of Hampton Roads' largest food drives is set to return: the 22nd annual Mayflower Marathon.

The weekend-long food drive takes place simultaneously in Virginia Beach, Suffolk, Hampton, and York County from Friday, November 16 to Sunday, November 18.

Locations where you can drop off food:

  • Hampton -- Coliseum Marketplace at Coliseum Central, 2170 Coliseum Dr.
  • Virginia Beach -- Pembroke Mall, 4554 Virginia Beach Blvd.
  • Suffolk -- First Team Subaru Kia, 4834B Bridge Rd.
  • Tabb -- Kroger at 5007-2 Victory Blvd.

Hampton and Virginia Beach will accept donations beginning at 5:30 a.m. on November 16 and will go round-the-clock through 3 p.m. on November 18.

Tabb and Suffolk will be accepting donations during the following hours :

Suffolk:

Fri. 11/17: 5:30 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Sat. 11/18: 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Sun. 11/19: 7 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Tabb:

Fri. 11/17 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Sat. 11/18 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Sun. 11/19 7 a.m. – 3 p.m.

All food and monetary donations collected in Virginia Beach and Suffolk will go to the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore, while all donations made at the Hampton and Tabb locations benefit the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank.
