Watching storm clouds is a habit after living in "tornado alley" (Texas/Oklahoma) for a few years. I thought it would be a rare sight here in Virginia Beach. Wrong! We've had at least one touch down and several funnel clouds in the past 12 years or so. Today was no exception. I watched two really bad clouds with occasional funnels from my back yard.
No Surprise any more when we hear tornado warnings!
