I was out for an evening run with friends when I glanced up at the moon and saw a beautiful 22 degree halo. The skys were clear and the colors of the halo were well defined. I rushed home to take some photos from my backyard around 11pm 12/1/09. The "heavenly twin" stars, Castor and Pollux of Gemini can be seen in the upper left.
