In cleaning up the debris in our yard from Hurricane Irene in the Crittenden area of North Suffolk, I discovered a box turtle with a severely fractured shell. Being a general dentist in the Western Branch section of Chespeake, I decided to go to the office and retrieve some restorative material to repair the shell. I had experience in this area of animal care having worked with a local veterinarian, Dr Ruth Ann McQueen, several years ago to save a turtle that had been struck by a car. My wife, Barbara, assisted me and also performed the task of photographer. I hope you and your viewers enjoy the pictures. If you would like a few more shots, feel free to contact me at 757-620-6797 or dr2th42447@gmail.com.
