During Hurricane Irene my husband walked out on the porch to check on things when he looked down the street and noticed a figure walking. We all looked closer and it was our mailman. We were amazed considering we live in Thalia and the mail routes here are walking. The wind was terrible and the rain was coming down in sheets. I would say this goes above and beyond. While we are all safe in our homes waiting out the storm the postal workers are still delivering the mail, never missing a beat.
