Neighbor with near miss from falling tree. It's been gusting all morning, bending tree tops in the Woodlake Crossing Subdivision. Located south end of York Co off Rt 17 and Victory Blvd about 3 miles west of Poquosan. At approx 1030 this Saturday morning (28 Aug), following a gust from the NE (50-60 mph+ from previous observations )followed by a loud snap. Large "gumball" tree cascaded into smaller tree. This action deflected the both trees to fall just to the right of the rear porch and minimal damage. Wow! Lucky! ...and Irene is still well to the south of us.
