The 38th Annual King Neptune was crowned in Virginia Beach Saturday night at the Coronation Gala. Held at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront Hilton Hotel, the spectacular evening's festivities centered around the top-secret announcement of Tony Nero as this year's ceremonial head of the 38th Annual Virginia Beach Neptune Festival. Nero is the president of Armada Hoffler Development Company and a long-time resident of the resort city. He is joined by a large court of attendants including meteorologist Jeff Lawson's daughter Rhianna, one of eight princesses. The 38th Annual Virginia Beach Neptune Festival attracts hundreds of thousands of people to the Virginia Beach oceanfront each year, culminating with Boardwalk Weekend held Sept. 30 - Oct. 2, 2011.
