Snow started falling around 3pm Christmas Day. By 9AM Sunday morning there was a 4 inch white blanket covering everything outdoors. It was beautiful -- a regular winter wonderland. By 2pm Sunday afternoon, 7 inches had fallen and by nightfall, 10 inches had fallen. The birds were feeding by the hundreds at our seed feeders, and a Red-Shouldered Hawk watched them from a short distance in a tree about 15 yards from the feeders. All is very quiet and muffeled outdoors now that darkness has fallen on Gloucester County, but it is making driving hazardous. As for this family, we are remaining inside where it is warm and cozy, except for the dogs, who really enjoy going outside and romping in all that cold white stuff. It is midnight and the snow is still falling, but not as aggressively. It is a very fine snow. How much will we end up with? That's another story for tomorrow
