Hampton Roads Hurricane Evacuation Shelters

IMPORTANT:Shown below are potential hurricane evacuation shelters for cities in our viewing area. Not all shelters listed below will be operational during a hurricane emergency. Local authorities activate these shelters as they are needed, allowing citizens ample time to evacuate if they feel unsafe in their homes. Other shelters not listed below may be opened.

DO NOT GO TO A SHELTER
UNLESS YOU ARE SURE IT IS OPEN.

Monitor Internet, TV or radio, or contact your city's emergency services department for current information on which shelters are open. Shelters do not allow pets, alcohol, or weapons. Remember to bring your prescription medications with you.
