The Labor Day weekend is just about here!

Today's high temperature should reach the lower 80s.   The sky should become partly sunny with just a low risk of a stray shower or storm, mainly to the west.

With hurricane Cristobal now far away, the waves at the oceanfront are starting to calm down.  The surf height today is expected to be around 3 feet with a moderate risk of rip currents.

Tomorrow and Sunday will see a gradual warming trend. Skies will be partly sunny, and there could be an isolated shower or storm. But the chances are very low. We will see increasing chances for showers or storms scattered Labor Day during the afternoon.

For the Rock 'n Roll Half Marathon Sunday morning, the weather looks good. Temperatures will be in the mid to upper 70s during the run with south winds at about 10 mph.

The weather will be pretty good for the American Music Festival throughout the weekend at the oceanfront. One of the big acts over the weekend is the concert Sunday night featuring Train. Temperatures should be in the low 80s at the start of the concert, skies will be partly cloudy. Temperatures will fall into the 70s and there's just a slight risk of a stray shower.

Have a great weekend and stay safe on the roads!
