It's a return to July-like weather, with steamy conditions for a day or so. Expect partly cloudy skies overnight with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm, especially late. Lows in the mid 70s with muggy conditions.
Tomorrow, as a cold front moves in from the northwest, scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected. Most of the activity will occur during the afternoon and evening hours. Some of the storms could be on the strong side with heavy rain, gusty winds, and frequent lightning. Afternoon highs will be in the mid to upper 80s.
Nicer weather returns behind the front. It will be cooler and less humid Friday and Saturday. Highs should be in the mid to upper 80s.
The next chance of rain rolls in on Sunday when highs will be back near 90. We will start next week with a couple of days with scattered showers and storms before a big drop in temperatures on Tuesday.
Tropical depression number two has fizzled, and the National Hurricane Center is no longer issuing advisories on the storm. Elsewhere, tropical development is not expected for the next few days.
