It is going to be a scorcher today. Highs will reach the mid to upper 90s, with warmer conditions inland and only slightly cooler conditions at the beaches. Winds will blow from the Southwest at about 5 to 15 mph.

There are large areas of showers and storms back over the Ohio River Valley. A cold front is pushing eastward and will continue to produce showers and storms and that part of the country. That front will pass through our area late tonight and early tomorrow bringing about cooler weather later in the week.

Skies will be partly to mostly sunny for much day. There is a very low risk of a stray shower or storm late afternoon mainly out to the west.

It'll be partly cloudy with a low risk of a storm this evening. Overnight lows should drop into the upper 70s. Tomorrow's high will stay in the upper 80s with partly sunny skies and a slight risk of a stray shower or storm. Temperatures will not be as warm for the rest of the week. There will be chances for scattered showers are storms later in the weekend.
