Many areas struggled to get out of the 70s for a high Tuesday afternoon. That is well below our normal of upper 80s, but it is also about to change. Tomorrow will only be a bit warmer with highs in the lower 80s for most spots, and mid 80s inland, but the end of the week will be mid 80s with upper 80s inland which is pretty close to where we typically are in late July.
The odds for rain stay pretty low for the next couple of days with about a 15% chance of a stray shower or storm; by Friday the chances go up to near 30% for a couple of afternoon storms.
The weekend should stay in the mid and upper 80s but only because of more clouds and a much better chance for some periods of thunderstorm activity. Without that it would be in the lower 90s, so it is going to be much more humid as well. \
One final thought is that there is a Tropical Storm trying to form down in the Atlantic approaching the Caribbean which is slated to move NW toward Puerto Rico. We will obviously keep a close eye on that development over the next few days.
