A developing coastal low will bring breezy conditions and rain to Hampton Roads. A spotty shower or two will be possible overnight, with a better chance for rain in North Carolina. Lows will be in the lower 60s.
As the low moves up the coast, rain will overspread the area Wednesday. Some heavier downpours are possible, especially in the afternoon and evening. Rainfall amounts could top two inches in some spots. Afternoon temperatures will be in the lower to mid 70s.
Northeast winds will also cause tides to run about a foot above normal Wednesday and into Thursday morning, which could cause some minor tidal flooding at the time of high tide.
Some rain will linger into Thursday morning, and skies will clear as we head into the weekend. Partly sunny skies are expected Friday, Saturday, and Sunday with highs in the mid 70s.
