Train horn blows for 3 hours

SUFFOLK--A CSX train horn that was malfunctioning since around 5:45 p.m. Monday on a side road off Kenyon Road has finally been silenced. 

The blaring sound stopped around 8:30 p.m.

A stationary, unmanned CSX train was blowing its horn continuously and could be heard over much of the city.

The train was tied down on the tracks and caused no traffic hazards. There was no problem with railroad crossing gates.

It is not know what caused the malfunction or what silenced the blaring horn.
