Robbery at Lynnhaven Mall comes to smashing end

VIRGINIA BEACH -- Late Wednesday, police still were looking for 1 of 3 people who robbed someone outside Dave and Buster's at Lynnhaven Mall earlier in the day.

The robbery happened at about 5:15 p.m. The victim told officers 3 people robbed him at gunpoint, then left. 2 were in a car.  The other was on foot.  The third person, believed to be a woman, ran in the direction of The Sports Authority.

Police who were responding to the call heard a description of the car involved. They spotted one matching the description and followed it.

The crashed through a guardrail as they took the turn where Potters Road turns into South First Colonial Road. The 2 people in the car ran, but officers caught them.
