Oceanfront homicide
VIRGINIA BEACH - Va. Beach Police say an argument led to murder at an Oceanfront parking lot.
33-year-old Alonzo Eddie Phelps and 26-year-old Damian Lamar Dennis allegedly shot 24-year-old Divon Tyrek Beckwith-Hall during an argument at the 19th Street lot early Sunday.
Police found Beckwith-Hall around 1:30 a.m. after people reported gunfire in the Oceanfront area.
Authorities didn't release information about the dispute and said the suspects were arrested a short time later.
The victim's family says the argument started an a nightclub. They say the three were kicked out and the arguing continued to the parking lot.
Beckwith-Hall graduated from Ocean Lakes High School in 2007 and was to be married next month to his high school sweetheart, the family added. They say he was a forklift driver for Pepsi.
Phelps and Dennis, who live in Hampton, face charges of murder and use of a firearm.
