What is it? The Gecko Tech Reusable Hooks is a hook that can be reused on many different surfaces.

What does it claim? It claims it's micro suction technology helps make it removable and waterproof.  Plus, the hooks won't cause damage or leave residue.
Who tested it?  Siblings Spencer and Cameron Chupik from Norfolk tested the hooks.
What are the instructions?  First, you need to clean the surface with rubbing alcohol and allow it to dry.   Then, stick the Gecko Tech Reusable Hook to the surface, making sure to press and push out all the air bubbles.  Now you're ready to hang something on your hook. Just be sure to stay within the hook's weight limit.
When it comes time to remove your hook, if it's been more than 30 days, you should warm the hook with a hair dryer to make it easier to remove. Then, wash the hook with warm soapy water and let it air dry prior to reuse.
For best results, you should only apply the hooks to clean, smooth, nonporous surfaces.  Waiting an hour before using the hook will also help ensure better results.
Did it work? Our testers had a mixed reaction.  We kept all the items we were hanging below the hook's weight requirements, but not all the hooks stayed up.  We also did not wait an hour before trying to hang something on the hook, like the instructions suggest for best results.  However, we were also using extra large hooks for small items, like keys, which didn't work.
The super light ornament that Cameron hung did work great. It hung on glass and tile with no problem. But the keys Spencer wanted to hang didn't stay up on the painted surface even after three tries, including one with a hook that was suppose to hold up to three pounds.
Overall they both like the concept of the Gecko Tech Reusable Hooks. They just wished the hooks would have worked a little better.
Cost/Availability? We purchased our Gecko Tech Reusable Hooks at Walgreen's for $4 for four smaller hooks and $9 for two larger hooks.
