VIRGINIA BEACH--Crews were on the scene of a stubborn warehouse fire Tuesday afternoon.

The fire appeared to have started in the rear of  Premiere Millwork and Lumber Company on Viking Drive off Lynnhaven Parkway.

The slow-burning fire caused heavy smoke thoughout the area.  That and Tuesday's warm temperatures made conditions tough for firefighters.

Investigators believe the fire was accidental and started in a hopper.

The company makes custom cabinetry, so the production facility was loaded with wood.

Fire units were on scene all afternoon and evening because of the smoldering materials, finally leaving the scene around 9:30 p.m.

No one was hurt.
