Hampton schools consider cutting jobs to close $7 million budget gap

HAMPTON -- The budget ax is coming down hard in the Hampton school districts. 

Hundreds of jobs are on the chopping block thanks to the school board's recently approved budget. 
 
Officials had to work with a $7 million shortfall and to make up for it, about 311 jobs could be cut.
