CHESAPEAKE -- A vigil was held Tuesday evening for a Chesapeake teenager that was killed in a weekend traffic accident.

The vigil for 18-year-old Darius Tyre Dixon took place at the Grove Baptist Church, 5910 West Norfolk Road in Portmsouth, from 5:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m.

Dixon was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Lynchburg Saturday morning.

Police say 20-year-old Abigail Flower was driving a Ford Taurus on Route 122 when she ran off the roadway and struck a tree.

Flower and her brother Caleb, who were both wearing seat-belts, were hospitalized for injuries sustained in the crash.

Dixon, who was riding in the front seat, was not wearing a seat-belt, police said.

Abigail Flower has been charged with reckless driving.
