BOSTON (AP)- A doctor at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston told reporters that the suspect in the Boston Marathon bombing who died overnight suffered a combination of blast and gunshot wounds.
"Multiple injuries, probably we believe a combination of blast and probably gunshot wounds. And probably a blast injury also. An explosive device, probably shrapnel, thermal injury. It was pretty much throughout the trunk, multiple wounds. I think the medical examiner will be able to say that. There were signs of more than just gunshot wounds," said Dr. Richard Wolfe.
