Thousands of rubber ducks ready to "swim" in Chesapeake

CHESAPEAKE - The rubber duck are ready for a swim in Chesapeake.

 

Saturday, April 27, is the 2013 Chesapeake Rubber Duck Race at the Intracoastal Waterway at Great Bridge from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Thousands of rubber duckies will hit the waterway at approximately 2:15 p.m. to raise funds to support the work of CHIP.

Purchase a duck at any of the official duck selling locations throughout Chesapeake, by phone at (757) 543-9100 or buy one at the race site on Friday, April 26, from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. and on Saturday, April 27, starting at 10:00 a.m.

The Grand Prize is a 2013 Chevrolet Spark, courtesy of Hall Automotive, A MileOne Company.
