NORFOLK- The family of a Norfolk teenager is angry. They say officers tackled and hurt the 16-year-old boy early Sunday in a case of mistaken identity.
Keshawn Warren was with some friends on 35th Street around 9:30 p.m. when officers approached. Family says officers thought he was his twin brother and didn't believe Keshawn when he said he wasn't Reshawn.
Keshawn was being released Tuesday afternoon from Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters after being treated for a torn ACL and back injuries.
Police spokesman Officer Chris Amos said Reshawn Warren was wanted for throwing a rock through a neighbor's window the day before.
"We have a process for complaints and I believe the family has taken advantage of that. Once a complaint is filed, we will investigate," he stated.
