NORFOLK—A personal trainer wanted to bring affordable fitness to women this weekend.

“Do anything just to stay active. You don't need to go anywhere you can do it right at home,” fitness trainer Tasha Turnbull said.

About 200 women signed up for a zumba workout and weight training at Fairlawn Recreation Center .

Turnbull believes lower income families get overlooked because they can’t afford gym memberships. She wanted to expose these women to a full workout for $10.

“You can work out by yourself at home. You can run; that doesn’t take a lot of money,” participant Donna Harped said.
