UPDATE: Bond denied for Norfolk mother charged with baby's death

Update 12:30 p.m.: Bond was denied Thursday for  21-year-old Asia Jatanya Foster, according to the Commonwealth's Attorney's office.

10/15 UPDATE: Foster was arraigned and remains in custody. A bond hearing was set for 10/17; a preliminary hearing was scheduled for January 14, 2014, Commonwealth's Attorney spokeswoman Amanda Howie told WVEC.com.  

NORFOLK- A Norfolk mother has been charged with the murder of her one-month-old baby.

Officials say emergency crews found  little Audree Michelle Foster unresponsive in her home in the 400 block of Walsingham Way on Saturday.

She was pronounced dead at the hospital, police stated.

The medical examiner determined the child's death was a homicide; police weren't releasing information about how she died.

 21-year-old Asia Jatanya Foster is charged with murder.
