WADSWORTH, OHIO – An Ohio man dressed in a gorilla suit says his stunts were a practical joke, but he could end up behind bars.
Police in Wadsworth, Ohio began getting complaints in June. Then, in July, a man in a gorilla suit moved barriers and drove an ATV on a main road. He was pulled over and arrested.
24-year-old Jeremy Lukens told police he was taking part in a stunt inspired by the MTV show Jackass.
"Seemed like him and his buddies were out and they just thought it would be something funny to do -- a practical joke to go out and ride on the street and take some videos."
He was cited for several violations and fought the charges in court.
He was found not guilty of criminal mischief but guilty of failing to comply with police and reckless operation of a motor vehicle.
He faces up to six months in jail and $1000 fine.
