NEW KENT CO.-- Some drivers along I-64 in New Kent County were confused Wednesay after reading signs along the highway that read, "No Phone Zone Ahead, Truck Alert."

It's against the law for commercial truck and bus drivers to use hand-held cell phones while driving.

The new signs are part of the Drive Virginia Smart Campaign, which is aimed at calling more attention to the regulation and having local deputies enforce it.   But some people thought the signs were directed at all drivers.

"I looked at my phone to see if I had phone service.  I didn't know what it meant," said Tracey Hall, on her way to Northern Virginia.

Ivylize Valdillez from Arizona said, "I think it's a good idea even if only aimed at truckers."

The signs will be removed Friday when the campaign ends.
