VIRGINIA BEACH -- More than 25 additional bands have been announced for the 21st annual American Music Festival in Virginia Beach Aug. 29 through Aug. 31.

All shows, other than the 5th Street Main Stage, are free and open to the public, officials said.

“The American Music Festival, presented by Chevrolet, features more than two dozen national recording and regional favorite bands that will perform free on 17th Street, 24th Street, and 31st Street stages,” says Mike Hilton, director of marketing for Beach Events.

“Our goal every year is for AMF to present music for almost every preference of style,” Hilton adds. “This year we’re showcasing everything from jazz to rock to blues to soul to beach music.  And all of these bands’ performances are free to the public.”
