VIRGINIA BEACH - Someone's shooting ducks at Lake Trashmore at Mount Trashmore Park in Va. Beach.

The first duck was found on the edge of the lake around 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 20. It was sitting in some brush and there was an arrow protruding from its back. Animal Control says it had to be euthanized because of its injuries.

Six days later, on Wednesday, June 26, another duck was reported to have been shot by an arrow, but this time officers couldn't find it.

If you have any information about who may be responsible for shooting at wildlife in the park or if you saw something with a bow and arrow at the park on those days, call Virginia Beach Crime Solvers at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP (1-888-562-5887) or by submitting a tip by texting “VBTIP” and the information to CRIMES (274637).
