JAMES RIVER BRIDGE
Route 17 North/South – Motorists should expect single lane closures from River Road to Kings Cove Way for gate and signal testing, Thursday, June 24, and Friday, June 25, from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m.  Motorists should expect intermittent traffic stoppages between 9 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. south bound, and from 10:30 to 11 p.m. north bound.

Route 17 North/South - Motorists should expect single, alternating lane closures on the James River Bridge for bridge repairs and pavement marking, Sunday, June 20, from 6 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Route 17 North – Motorists should expect single, alternating lane closures on the James River Bridge for bridge repairs and pavement marking, Monday, June 22, through Friday, June 25, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Route 17 South – Motorists should expect single, alternating lane closures on the James River Bridge for bridge repairs and pavement marking, Monday, June 22, through Friday, June 25, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 5 a.m.

HAMPTON
I-64 East – Motorists should expect lane closures at the Eastern Branch Hampton River and Boxwood Street Bridge for bridge safety inspections, Monday, June 21, through Friday, June 25, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

I-664 North/South – As part of a long-term paving project, motorists should expect lane and shoulder closures:
I-664 North – Motorists should expect left shoulder closures at the Aberdeen Road Bridge for median barrier construction through June 24.

I-664 South – Motorists should expect a left shoulder and left lane closure at the Aberdeen Road Bridge for median barrier construction through June 24.

Additional lane closures may be necessary in this area from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

I-664 South – Motorists should expect multiple lane closures at Powhatan Parkway (Exit 2) and Aberdeen Road (Exit 3) for barrier removal, Monday, June 21, from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.

I-64 East – Motorists should expect single lane closures from Route 60/143 Tyler Street/County Street (Exit 267) to Mallory Street (Exit 268) for paving operations, Monday, June 21, and Tuesday, June 22, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Motorists should be alert to on and off ramp closures.

I-64 East – Motorists should expect multiple lane closures from Route 58/Mercury Boulevard (Exit 263) to Route 60/143 Tyler Street/County Street (Exit 267) for paving operations, Tuesday, June 22, through Friday, June 25, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

NEWPORT NEWS
I-664 South – Motorists should expect mobile lane closures at Warwick Boulevard/34th/35th Street (Exit 5) for drain cleaning operations Friday, June 24, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Warwick Boulevard East/West
Route 60 – Motorists should expect multiple alternating lane closures for construction activities on Warwick Boulevard from Nettles Drive to J. Clyde Morris Blvd. Sunday through Saturday. Anticipate overnight lane closures from 7 p.m. to 6a.m. on both east and west bound lanes. Daytime lane closures should be expected daily from 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on east and west bound lanes. These lane closures will be in affect through project completion in June 2010.

-    Motorists should expect daytime and night time lane closures on Warwick Boulevard, both east and west bound for the duration of the project in order to complete paving operations, signalization and lighting installation, landscaping, & other work necessary to compete the project.  Business entrances could be impacted for short periods while paving machines move past the entrances.

MONITOR-MERRIMAC MEMORIAL BRIDGE-TUNNEL
I-664 North/South – Motorists should expect alternating lane closures at the MMMBT for tunnel washing, Sunday, June 20, through Tuesday, June 22, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

I-664 North/South - Motorists should expect single lane closures in the MMMBT for fire extinguisher inspection, Tuesday, June 22, from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.

HAMPTON ROADS BRIDGE-TUNNEL
I-64 East – Motorist should expect overnight single lane closures Sunday, June 20, through Thursday, June 24, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. for the roadway lighting upgrade to the I-64 East Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel. Westbound traffic will not be affected and no weekend closures are planned. The project is scheduled for completion in spring 2011.
Motorists are encouraged to use I-664 Monitor Merrimac Memorial Bridge Tunnel to avoid delays.  Take Exit 264 to access I-664.  Use exit 15A for Norfolk and Virginia Beach destinations.  Use exit 15B for Chesapeake and Outer Banks destinations.

I-264 East/West – Motorists should expect mobile lane closures in the Downtown Tunnel for tunnel washing, Tuesday, June 22, through Friday, June 25, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

I-264 East/West – Motorists should expect alternating lane closures for tunnel lighting, washing and paving operations, Sunday, June 20, through Friday, June 25, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

I-264 West – Motorists should expect single alternating lane closures through the tunnel to Des Moines Avenue (Exit 6) for paving and striping operations, Monday, June 21, through Thursday, June 24, from 8 p.n. to 5 a.m.

I-264 West – Motorists should expect multiple lane closures, including off and on ramps from Des Moines Avenue (Exit 6) to the Bower’s Hill Interchange (Exit 1) for paving and striping operations, Thursday, June 24, and Friday, June 25, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

NORFOLK
I-264 East/West Berkley Bridge – Motorists should expect single lane closures at the Berkley Bridge for bridge safety inspections, Monday, June 21, through Friday, June 25, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

I-264 East/West – Motorists should expect single lane closures at Waterside Drive (Exit 9) for bridge safety inspections, Monday, June 21, through Friday, June 25, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

I-64 West – Motorists should expect mobile lane closures at Bay View Avenue (Exit 274) for guard rail repair Tuesday, June 22, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

I-264 East/West – Motorists should expect mobile lane closures from the I-464 (West) Interchange (Exit 1) to Ballentine Boulevard (Exit 13) for roadway repairs, Sunday, June 20, through Thursday, June 24, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

I-64 East/West – Motorists should expect single lane closures at the Robin Hood Road overpass for bridge safety inspections, Monday, June 21, through Friday, June 25, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

I-64 East/West - Motorists should expect single lane closures at the Virginia Beach Boulevard overpass for bridge safety inspections, Monday, June 21, through Friday, June 25, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

I-64 East/West – High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) Reversible Roadway - The HOV Reversible Roadway will be closed for pavement marking and shoulder pavement repairs, Monday, June 21, through Thursday, June 24, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Hampton Boulevard Grading Project
Motorists should expect multiple lane closures, both north and south bound on Hampton Boulevard between “B” Avenue and Rogers Avenue to 90th Street for utility operations, Monday, June 21, through Thursday, June 24, daily from 9 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., nightly from Monday, June 14, through Thursday, June 17, from 5 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Portions of Greenbrier Avenue will be closed to all traffic through August 2010. A detour has been established.  Motorists should be alert to detour signs and new traffic patterns in the area.

Motorists should expect alternating northbound lane closures at Mapleshade Drive from 5 p.m. to 7 a.m. for utility operations.

PORTSMOUTH
I-264 East/West – Motorists should expect mobile lane closures from the Bower’s Hill Interchange (Exit 1) to Greenwood Drive (Exit 2) for roadway repairs, Thursday, June 24, through Friday, June 25, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

I-264 East – Motorists should expect single lane closures at the Portsmouth Boulevard overpass (Exit 4) for deck repairs, Tuesday, June 22, through Thursday, June 24, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

I-264 East – Motorists should expect single lane closures, including shoulders and off and on ramps from the Bowers Hill Interchange (Exit 1) towards the Downtown Tunnel for paving operations, Monday, June 21, through Friday, June 25, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

VIRGINIA BEACH
Witchduck Road North/South –Motorists should expect single lane closures from Bonney Road to the I-264 Interchange on Witchduck Road and at North Amerbly and Witchduck Road for drain pipe installation, Monday, June 21, through Friday, June 25, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

I-264 East/West – Motorists should expect single lane closures from Rosemont Road (Exit 18) to Independence Boulevard (Exit 17) for overhead sign repair, Thursday, June 24, through Friday, June 25, from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m.

I-264 West – Motorists should expect single lane closures from Birdneck Road (Exit 18) to Rosemont Road (Exit 22) for guard rail repair, Monday, June 21, through Friday, June 25, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

I-64 East/West – Motorists should expect lane and shoulder closures before Providence Road and Indian River Road (Exit 286) for overhead sign installation, Monday, June 21, through Friday, June 25, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

CHESAPEAKE
I-664 North - Motorists should expect mobile lane closures at the Route 58/Bower’s Hill Interchange (Exit 13) for drain cleaning operations, Wednesday, June 23, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

I-464 North/South - Motorists should expect single lane closures at the Rosemont Avenue overpass (Exit 3) for bridge safety inspections, Monday, June 21, through Friday, June 25, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

I-464 North/South - Motorists should expect single lane closures at the Barnes Road overpass (Exit 4) for bridge safety inspections, Monday, June 21, through Friday, June 25, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Route 58 East – Motorists should expect mobile lane closures at the Bower’s Hill Interchange (Exit 13) for guard Rail Repair, Tuesday, June 22, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

CHESAPEAKE/NORFOLK
I-464 North/South – Motorists should expect multiple lane closures between the Military Highway Overpass and Main Street (Exit 5) for striping and paving operations, Sunday, June 20, through Thursday, June 24, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

CHESAPEAKE
I-664 South – Motorists should expect single lane closures at Route 58 (Exit 13) for overhead sign maintenance, Wednesday, June 23, through Thursday, June 24, from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m.

I-64 East/West Restorative Pavement Project – Motorists should expect alternating lane closures from the Bowers Hill Interchange to the I-464 Interchange, daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for restorative pavement maintenance work.  Work will include patching isolated concrete pavement, increasing the width of the inside shoulder and replacing two lifts of asphalt.  These paving operations will continue through August 2011.

I-64 East/West – Motorists should expect alternating lane closures from I-264 Interchange (Exit 299) to Battlefield Boulevard (Exit 290) for lane and shoulder paving operations, Sunday, June20, through Friday, June 25, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Mt. Pleasant Road South/Fentress Airfield Road West – Motorists should expect a single lane closure at the Mt. Pleasant Road/Fentress Road intersection and on Fentress Road to Blackwater Road for utility relocation operations, Monday, June 21, through Friday, June 25, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Motorists should be alert for flagging operations.

SMITHFIELD
Route 10 East/West – Motorists should expect lane closures from Route 258 to Route 10 Business for paving operations and marking, Monday, June 21, through Friday, June 25, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

SURRY
Route 10 East/West – Motorists should expect lane closures from Route 618 to Route 31 Business for paving operations and marking, Monday, June 21, through Friday, June 25, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

SOUTHAMPTON COUNTY
Route 58 North/South – Motorists should expect alternating lane closures from Route 35 to Route 742 for paving operations, Monday, June 21, through Friday, June 25, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Route 58 East/West – Motorists should expect alternating lane closures from Route 35 to Route 742 for roadway striping operations, Monday, June 21, through Friday, June 25, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
