VIRGINIA BEACH – Complications forced construction crews Monday to close the right turn lane and one through lane on northbound Kempsville Road at the Indian River Road intersection.
Motorists may turn right onto eastbound Indian River Road or proceed on Kempsville Road from the open lane. This closure is necessary to protect the public and workers at the site.
Please be alert to traffic control marking this temporary closure. All lanes are expected to reopen Tuesday morning.
Construction crews worked through the weekend to replace a pipeline.
The lane closed at 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 16 and all lanes were set to reopen Monday.
