CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — NASCAR has docked Brad Keselowski 50 points in the Nationwide Series because his car failed inspection following his win at Talladega Superspeedway.
Keselowski's lead in the Nationwide standings dropped from 60 points to 10 after Wednesday's penalty.
The penalties were for 25 points each because NASCAR found an unapproved left-front spring, and an unapproved right-front shock after the victory Sunday.
Keselowski gets to keep the win.
Crew chief Paul Wolfe was fined $20,000 for the two infractions. Car owner Jodi Geschickter was docked 50 points in the owner standings.
