MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — DeAndre Mathieu and Mo Walker each scored 18 points in Minnesota's 81-68 victory over No. 9 Wisconsin, the Badgers' third straight loss after a 16-0 start. Sam Dekker led the Badgers with 20 points and six rebounds.

NEW YORK (AP)— The New York Yankees have landed the services of highly-prized Japanese pitcher Masahiro Tanaka (mah-sah-HEE'-roh tah-NAH'kah). DALLAS (AP) — Former Dallas Cowboys Josh Brent has been convicted of intoxication manslaughter for a fiery wreck that killed his teammate and close friend, Jerry Brown. PHILADELPHIA (AP)— Jiri Tlusty (YIH'-ree TLOO'-stee) scored the tiebreaking goal in the third period to lift the Carolina Hurricanes to a 3-2 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers on Wednesday night.
