With a long distance three pointer with one second to go, VCU edged out UVA  59-56 on the Cavaliers home court.  The Rams came in ranked #14 and the Cavaliers are #25.  It was the first time these two met on the court since 1998.

VCU led most of the first half, but Virginia went on a 10-0 run to take a 2 point lead at halftime. The Cavaliers dictated the tempo most of the night and had a 6 point lead with just under 3 minutes remaining.  The Rams would come back and the game was even with 9 seconds to go when VCU put the ball in the hands of Treveon Graham.  He stepped back for an NBA style 3 point game winner.
