Norfolk State would watch a 13 point second half lead slip away in a 76-74 loss to East Carolina.  A win and the Spartans would have a shot at Duke in Durham on Tuesday night.  Instead their record falls to 2-2 on the season.

Pendarivs Williams, the reigning MEAC player of the week, led the way in scoring with 18 points.  Malcom Hawkins chipped in with 16.  Instead of Duke, the Spartans will take on UNC Asheville in Durham on Tuesday night.
