Stock up when it’s on sale. Fill your pantry with large and small sizes
of beef and chicken broth.
A delicious pasta dinner can be made by cooking the pasta in chicken
broth seasoned with a little Italian seasoning. Microwave your favorite
frozen vegetable and stir it all together.
Savory biscuits are perfect for Sunday dinner. Use broth flavored with
garlic in place of liquid in your favorite biscuit mix. Sprinkle in some
fresh parsley for color.
In a pinch, you can create instant gravy from beef or chicken broth.
Just heat a can of broth and whisk two to three tablespoons of
cornstarch.
French dip sandwiches are a perfect supper. Sauté an onion; add a can of
beef broth. Heat slices of deli roast beef and serve on French bread.
Canned broth is also perfect for meals in a slow cooker. Just combine
stew beef, one onion, tomato paste and beef broth and cook on low all
day. Just before serving add your favorite canned vegetables.
Try this amazing sauce for pasta. Heat together a can of diced Italian
flavored tomatoes and a can of broth. Thicken with a little cornstarch
and you have a fresh tasting gourmet sauce.
Don’t toss left over broth. You can save it by freezing it in ice cube
trays. Store the cubes in plastic freezer bags and use as needed.
So stock up and try these few Better Living tips.
