--Save plastic newspaper bags and store them in an empty tissue box in
the bathroom. Then pull one out to protect your hands each time you
clean. Toss it away when you’re done.
--Get rid of mildew stuck between the wall and tub this way. Saturate
cotton balls or paper towels with bleach and position them on the stains
for about an hour.
--A simple way to remove stains from grout in other areas is with a
bleach pen. Let is sit for a while then scrub with an old tooth brush
--Magic erasers (trademark), available at the grocery store, are great
for cleaning up hard to remove soap scum.
--Wash your shower curtain in the washing machine with a couple of
towels. The friction from the towels will help to remove grime.
--Toss the shower curtain in the dryer on the lowest setting. Not only
will it dry, but it will come out wrinkle free.
--To keep down bathroom odors, place a shallow dish of baking soda
tucked behind the toilet.
--Fabric softener sheets do a great job to keep things smelling fresh.
Place one in the bottom of the bathroom waste basket. Drop one in the
laundry hamper and place one or two between folded towels in a bathroom
basket.
--It’s not necessary to spend for expensive cleaners. A mixture of
vinegar and water in a spray bottle can clean just about anything.
--Or try car windshield fluid. It’s designed to clean tough dirt without
streaking and it’s fairly inexpensive.
So there you have a it: a few simple tips for a not so simple chore.
