-Steaks are a perfect low carb choice and here’s how to make the simple
classic.
Make sure the grill is oiled. Pour vegetable oil on a paper towel and
use tongs to apply it to the grate.
Brush steaks with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. At the last
minute of grilling top each steak with a pat of butter and sprinkle of
parsley.
-Even though you’re low carbing, you can still have hamburgers and hot
dogs when you grill out.
Instead of a high carb bun, serve grilled hamburgers between two pieces
of crisp lettuce. Add cheese and all the trimmings.
-Eliminate the hot dog bun by grilling hotdogs on skewers. Serve with
low carb ketchup, mustard and barbque sauce.
-To keep wooden skewers from burning, be sure to soak them for about an
hour before placing them on the grill.
-Deviled eggs are a picnic favorite and can be very low carb.
Recipe:
6 hard boiled eggs
6 tablespoons full fat mayonnaise
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
salt and pepper to taste
paprika
Slice cool boiled eggs in half and place the yokes in a small bowl. Mash
them with a fork. Add in the mayonnaise and mustard, then add salt and
pepper to taste.
Spoon the filling into the egg halves and sprinkle with paprika. Add a
tiny sprig of parsley for garnish if you like.
-Grilled asparagus spears are low carb and delicious. Snap off the
bottom of fresh asparagus spears and toss with olive oil, salt and
better. Grill till tender.
Mushrooms are another low carb side dish that can be delicious on the
grill. Wipe large mushrooms with a damp paper towel. In a bowl, mix
olive oil, chopped garlic, salt and pepper and toss with mushrooms. Then
just place them on the grill.
-And nothing make a better low carb dessert than a bowl of fresh berries.
