Too much stuff
09:56 AM EST on Monday, February 23, 2004
-Recycle your old eye glasses by turning them into prescription sun
glasses. Take them to the optometrist and have the lenses tinted.
They're perfect for a sunny weekend of yard work.
If your closet is building with clothing you don't wear, consider a
swap meet. Organize a group of friends and pile your cast offs together.
Then let everyone take what they want. It's like a free shopping spree.
Wire hangers seem to accumulate by the hundreds. Instead of letting
them add to the closet clutter, return them to the dry cleaner. (Note we
spoke with Wayside Cleaners who will make a one-cent donation for each
hanger returned to the Portsmouth-Area Council of Garden Clubs to plant
trees.)
Old t-shirts make great disposable covers for the back of your car seat, just pull it over and toss it in the washer when you're through. -Too many grocery bags can create serious kitchen clutter. Just stuff them into an empty tissue box and they can easily be removed one by one as you need them. So, if you find yourself with an abundance of riches, think about these tips to help you spread the wealth. |
