--If your remote won’t work, the first thing to check is the batteries.
Make sure they’re fresh and seated properly in the device.
--If your remote takes two batteries, always change both at the same
time. Don’t use one new and one old one.
--Always keep spare batteries on hand and store them where you store
your remote.
--When you have several remotes, keep them straight by using a color
coding technique. Place different colored stickers on each remote and
coordinated stickers on the matching appliance.
--To keep your remote from getting lost, apply one side of a piece of
self-stick Velcro to the back of the remote. Put the other side on your
favorite TV chair.
--Place a decorative box on near by to keep remotes from getting
misplaced.
--Secure the cover of the battery compartment with a piece of duct tape.
That way, the next time you drop your remote, the batteries will stay in
place.
--You don’t have to aim the remote directly at the TV. You can actually
bounce the signal from a wall or object behind you.
--Cover remotes kept in the kitchen with plastic wrap to keep them clean.
--A car remote can be a great convenience, but sometimes it loses
strength. You can boost the power of your keyless system by clicking the
remote under your chin.
So try these few better living tips to keep your remote in tiptop
shape.
