Virginia Attorney General Bob McDonnell will serve as chairman of the state's delegation to the Republican National Convention in Minneapolis-St. Paul.
McDonnell, who is seeking the GOP nomination for governor, will be in the Twin Cities from Sunday through September 4.
U.S. Representative Thelma Drake of Virginia's 2nd District is scheduled to speak at the convention Monday.
