It's a week late, but the Labor Department is releasing the latest jobs report this morning.  It's the first look at how the partial government shutdown may have hurt the job market.  Economists are expecting the report to show a slowdown in October compared to September. The government shutdown will also have an affect on the unemployment rate.  That's because furloughed workers will count as unemployed if they were out of work the entire week.

If you're looking for a new car and have at least $46,000 to spend, you might want to check out the Cadillac CTS.  It's Motor Trend Magazine's 2014 Car of the Year. The judges say they picked this re-designed mid-size luxury car because of its smooth ride and sporty handling.

Apple is reportedly preparing its stores to start making repairs to iPhone 5S and 5C models.  You'll be able to have several different repairs made -- to your screen, the rear camera and the volume button among other things.  If you have an Apple care warranty, you can get the repairs for free.  If you don't, you'll have to pay. We're told the costs will be minimal compared to having to purchase a new phone and the best part is the repairs are made in store, while you wait.
