WVEC is looking for two (2) Multi-Media Journalists to report, shoot and edit news stories within strict deadlines and other duties as assigned. This position requires a self motivated professional who will work primarily independently to set up and deliver live and taped reports with energy, creativity and confidence. Strong storytelling abilities are desired and factual reporting is a must.
The successful candidate will keep abreast of local, national, world news, and current events.
This individual will need a valid driver’s license, a good driving record and will be required to operate a company news gathering vehicle to and from various locations. A Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications or Electronic Media or related field is required, along with a minimum of two years previous video journalism experience.
At 13 News Now, providing content to our digital platforms is just as important as our on-air coverage. The Multi-Media Journalist will be responsible for writing and editing print and video stories for wvec.com and related social media and mobile sites.
