Cleve joined the 13 News team in July 2011 as a general assignment reporter. He's happy to continue his career along the coast and enjoys the easy-going atmosphere of the WVEC newsroom.
Cleve comes to Hampton Roads from Charleston, SC where he reported for two and a half years at the NBC affiliate WCBD. During his time there Cleve investigated issues such as nuclear power plant safety, the effectiveness of sex offender laws and a hot topic series racial issues.
Cleve enjoys reporting on environmental and multi-cultural stories in addition to the thrill of breaking news. He also likes covering the 13 News anchor desk as needed.
Cleve attended the University of Maryland and got his start in TV at WMGM in Atlantic City.
When he's not tracking down news leads, Cleve is playing any number of sports, surfing waves with his wife Nicole, volunteering for church and other service organizations and trying to tame his wild dog named Utley.
