GLOUCESTER –Charges against a Gloucester couple whose daughter was found malnourished and in a makeshift cage in April will be presented to a grand jury in March.
The charges against Brian and Shannon Gore were to be presented next week, but investigators said they need additional time, according to the Daily Press (http://bit.ly/rOTXad ) of Newport News.
The couple is expected to face charges that include felony child neglect and attempted capital murder.
The Gores' daughter was 6 when she was discovered by sheriff's deputies serving a search warrant stemming from another investigation. She has been placed in state custody.
The next day, deputies discovered a child's remains while digging around a shed at the residence. A cause of death has not been determined for the child.
