HAMPTON -- With the abundance of damage and debris left behind after Hurricane Irene, there are some cases when it's not obvious who's responsible.
Orlando Alston of Hampton is disputing with his neighbor over the tree that fell from her yard into his during the hurricane.
Her fence was damaged, but insurance experts say Alston is ultimately responsible for the part of the tree that's in his yard.
His neighbor can also file a claim because her fence was damaged. If she were to do so, it's possible insurance would take care of moving the entire tree. Had the tree damaged Alston's house, his homeowner's policy would have to kick in to pay for the damages.
