PORTSMOUTH – A 19-year-old Portsmouth man is charged with the December robbery of a Chinese restaurant.

Patrick Louther, 19, of Blair St., is charged with the December 1 robbery at Empire Buffet on London Blvd.

Police say the Louther forced employees to the floor and then took cash from the register.

There were a couple of customers in the restaurant during that crime, Det. Jan Westerbeck told WVEC.com.
